1.Requirements
-Diploma or Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
-Have a proven record of strong leadership and team buildung skills
-The ability to quickly analyse the root of a problem after which develop a safe and effective method of rectifying the problem
-Sound understanding of maintenance methods and safe workshop type practices
-Abe to demonstrate trongleadership in the management of an Engineering Services Group
-Sound understanding of Welding (gas,arch,Tig and Mig ) practices
-A working knowledge of ISO 1400 environmental systems and ISO 9001 systems
-Experience in the setting up and operation of a CMMS
-Knowledge of HACCP based food safety systems and GMP Principles
-A good understanding and practical experience in the management of ammonia refrigeration plant and associated equipment
-Ability to communicate (orally and written ) in both the local dealect and English
-Computer literate including spread-sheeting and word processing in English
2.Responsibilities
Health and Safety
-Ensure safe working conditions for the Trades Group and associated personnel
-Ensure any Site procedures prescribe sage methods
-Ensure all members of the Trades Group and any associated contractors are properly trained and fully understand the health & safeth implications of the workplace
Environmental Issues
-Assist in ensuring the Site is an environmentally responsible workplace
-Ensure all maintenance procedures are carried out in an environmentally responsible methods
-Ensure all maintenance employees and contractors are fully inducted and fully understand the enwironmental implications of the work/procedures being undertake
Reactive and Proactive Maintenance
-Develop and maintain both Reactive and Proactive maintenance systems the are both cost effective and effient while meeting all of the business requirements
Development and Management of the Sites Maintenance Budget
-Develop in conjunction with the plant General Manager the Maintenance Budget by the due date for review and approval.
-Once the Budget has been approved take full responsibility for its management and report on a monthly basis the actual expenditure against budget giving explanations of any variances.
Regulatory and Legal Compliance
-Ensure all maintenance and or repairs meets all local,regional and nation compliance conditions
-Ensure all pressure equipment certification records are well maintained and kept up to date
Capital Plan Development
-Assist in the development of the Site Capital Plan
Team Development
-Mange the development and training of the Maintenance team respective to their roles and the requirements of the Business in conjunction with the Plant General Manager
Other Tasks
-Perform other relevant tasks as directed from time to time.
